I hope everyone enjoyed a happy and restful Memorial Day weekend!

Announcements for this Week:

May Awards Assembly

The monthly assembly for May will take place on Thursday, May 31 at 8:00 AM on the front yard. We will celebrate May birthdays and honor this month’s virtue award winners for demonstrating the virtue of Responsibility.

Pen Pal Visit

Our pen pals from Westport Heights Elementary School will be visiting our class on Friday, June 1 after recess. If anyone would be interested in donating snacks, juice, popsicles, or small items for treat bags, please contact me ASAP!

Eighth Grade Play

The Class of 2012 will be performing “Alice in Wonderland” on Friday, June 1 at 7:00 PM in the Parish Hall. Students and families are invited to attend!

Looking Ahead:

Upcoming Field Trips

Our field trip to the Los Angeles Zoo will take place on Thursday, June 7. Please remember to send your child’s lunch in a disposable bag labeled with his or her name - no lunch boxes, no tupperware!  I also suggest that students wear their P.E. uniforms and tennis shoes as they will be more comfortable for walking.

We will also have a field trip on Friday, June 8 to Westport Heights Elementary to visit our pen pal class at their school. Permission slips will be coming home soon!

Eighth Grade Graduation

Graduation will be held on Friday, June 8 at 6:00 PM in the Church. Students are invited to attend this special school event and participate by singing in the choir. Students participating in the choir should wear their school uniforms.

End of the Year Awards Ceremony

Parents are invited to attend the End of the Year Awards Ceremony on Wednesday, June 13 at 11:00 AM in the Church. School will be dismissed following the ceremony at 12:30 PM.

Last Day of School

The last day of school will be Thursday, June 14. Students will attend Mass at 8:00 AM, pick up their report cards, and then be dismissed for the Knott’s Berry Farm Field Trip.
