2nd Grade Parent Update

Week of May 21 - 25

Thank you to all of the families who volunteered and donated items for Activity Day!

It was a great success, and everyone had a wonderful time!

Announcements for this Week:

Memorial Day Weekend

There will be NO SCHOOL on Friday, May 25 due to a Staff Development Meeting. There will also be NO SCHOOL on Monday, May 28 in honor of Memorial Day. 

Looking Ahead:

May Awards Assembly

The monthly assembly for May will take place on Thursday, May 31 at 8:00 AM on the front yard. We will celebrate May birthdays and honor this month’s virtue award winners for demonstrating the virtue of Responsibility.

Eighth Grade Play

The Graduating Class of 2012 will be performing “Alice in Wonderland” on Friday, June 1 at 7:00 PM in the Parish Hall. Students and families are invited to attend!

Upcoming Field Trips

We will join the primary grades for a field trip to the zoo on Thursday, June 7. Permission slips for the trip will be sent home on Tuesday. We are also working on organizing a walking field trip to visit our pen pal class for a picnic at Westport Heights Elementary School on Friday, June 8.

Eighth Grade Graduation

Graduation will be held on Friday, June 8 at 6:00 PM in the Church. Students are invited to attend this special school event and participate by singing in the choir.

End of the Year Awards Ceremony

The Awards Ceremony will be held on Wednesday, June 13 at 11:00 AM in the Church. Parents are invited to attend.

Last Day of School

The last day of school will be Thursday, June 14. Students will attend Mass at 8:00 AM, pick up their report cards, and then be dismissed for the Knott’s Berry Farm Field Trip.
