Week of January 30 - February 3

2nd Grade Parent Update
Week of January 30 - February 3
Thank you to everyone who made it to our Catholic Schools Week Mass yesterday! Your presence and participation were much appreciated.
Announcements for this Week:
Catholic Schools Week
This week is Catholic Schools Week - a celebration of faith-centered education! Our celebration of “Faith, Academics, and Service” will continue throughout the week with several special events, including a Parent Meeting and Open House on Thursday, February 2 and our annual Mardi Gras night on Saturday, February 4. Please review the attached schedule for more details about the special events occurring this week. As always, feel free to email me with questions or concerns.
Catholic Schools Week Service Project
As part of our celebration of “Catholic Schools Week: Faith, Academics, Service”, we will be participating in a service project to support a very worthy cause - Alexandria House, a transitional residence for women and children in need.
Each class at St. Jerome will be assigned items to donate to these families, and students will assemble care packages to be delivered by CJSF representatives.
Thank you to those who have already donated diapers, wipes, and snacks.

Looking Ahead:
Benchmark Testing
I will be administering the mid-year Benchmark Test during the week of February 6. Please avoid scheduling appointments during this week and make every effort to ensure that students arrive at school on time.
Special School Mass
There will be a school Mass on Friday, February 10 at 11:00 AM hosted by the 3rd grade. This special Black History Month Mass will honor African-American leaders in the Catholic Church.
e-Waste Collection
On Sunday, February 12, St. Jerome Parish will be hosting an e-Waste collection from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Bring your old electronics to dispose of properly and model good stewardship of our planet for your child.
