Announcements for this Week:
Socks Rock!
St. Jerome School is sponsoring a Sock Drive to benefit the Society of St. Vincent de Paul's Cardinal Manning Center in the Skid Row area of Los Angeles. We are collecting new tube socks of any color in men's, women's, and children's sizes. The Cardinal Manning Center has been providing services to the homeless population of Downtown Los Angeles for more than 50 years, and we can help them by providing simple items that we often take for granted - socks!
Anticipating Holy Week
There will be a special Mass this week as we gather as a school community to prepare for Holy Week. This Mass will take place on Thursday, April 14 at 11:15 AM. Remember that students should wear their regular dress uniforms for Mass. We will NOT have P.E. this Thursday, and P.E. uniforms should not be worn. Please note that this Mass will take the place of our usual Friday Mass for this week.
This will be the Mass at which I celebrate my initiation into the Church by taking part in the Sacraments of the Eucharist and Confirmation. Our class has been invited to participate in this Mass in a special way by performing in the choir. We would like to invite the 2nd Grade families to join us in this celebration!
Tea and Tour
On Friday, April 15, St. Jerome School will host a Tea and Tour for prospective families from 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM. If you are able to help with the preparations or volunteer on the day of the event, please contact Mrs. Heppell.
