Week of December 13 - 17

Announcements for This Week

Holiday Toy Drive
Our Holiday Toy Drive continues this week until Thursday, December 16. Students are encouraged to bring in new, unwrapped toys to donate to the Los Angeles Fire Department's "Spark of Love" Toy Drive. The Student Council will sponsor a contest to inspire Toy Drive participation.

Christmas Program
The Christmas Program will be on Thursday, December 16 at 7:00 PM. The Second Grade Class will be performing as shepherds and angels in the performance of the Nativity and will be singing The Little Drummer Boy and Great Day in Bethlehem. Students should dress in their holiday best.

December Reading Logs 
Reading Logs for the month of December will be due on Thursday, December 16. Since we will only be in school for three weeks this month, I will not expect the lists to be as full as usual. I would love to see at least 12 entries for the month.

Christmas Vacation
Thursday, December 16 will be the last day of school before Christmas Vacation. There will be NO SCHOOL on Friday, December 17 due to a Pastor's Holiday! School will resume on Tuesday, January 4, 2011!

There will be no Star of the Week this week.

Week of December 6 - 10

Announcements for This Week

Holiday Toy Drive
Our Holiday Toy Drive begins tomorrow, Monday, December 6, and will continue through next week until Friday, December 17. Students are encouraged to bring in new, unwrapped toys to donate to our sister school, Mother of Sorrows, and the Los Angeles Fire Department's "Spark of Love" Toy Drive. The Student Council will sponsor a contest to inspire Toy Drive participation.

December Book Order
The Scholastic Book Order for December is DUE tomorrow, Monday, December 6. Please make your orders online and turn in your catalog orders by tomorrow so that your books can reach you in time for the holidays.

Immaculate Conception Mass
There will be a special school mass this week on Wednesday, December 8 at 8:00 AM in honor of the Feast of the Immaculate Conception. This will take the place of our usual school Mass on Friday.

Looking Ahead

Christmas Program

Please send in oatmeal canisters, coffee cans, and mixed nut containers for us to use to make drums to accompany The Little Drummer Boy.
